Weekly build notes
Weekly development notes from the EXIT workshop at Spiraldust WebGames.
2026 Week 37: Giving ExitGuy a voice
This week has mostly been focusing on adding speech controls to the Polydex engine so that we can add more context via the main character's reactions.
2026 Week 36: audience on hold
Our plan to start rolling out into YouTube has been halted, perhaps permanently.
2026 Week 35: four keys, twelve moves per context
Progress this week has been focusing on adding more animations, mostly fighting techniques. But as with anything in EXIT, that also means more work on the control system.
2026 Week 33: learning to swim
This week we have been mostly working out how to swim.
2026 Week 32: ducked, and finally able to turn
We achieved a number of bug fixes this week, including fixing a long term annoyance in the control system. We can now change direction whilst ducked!
2026 Week 31: building an audience
Setting up various accounts so we can get the word out.
2024 Week 10: Revamping the character art
Pixels from vector.
2023 Week 10: More design work and ideas
Over the years we kept adding to our plan.
2023 Week 07: Planning for touch
We've always wanted this game to play on multiple devices, so that means planning ahead.
2019 Week 30: The advent of Twerp
Twerp stood for something, but we cannot remember what.
2013 Week 22: Start big and scale down
Lots of animation work on assets that were —far too small.
2012 Week 12: inspriation and a redesign occurs
Tunnels are so hot right now.
2009 Week 8: somewhere, elsewhere, an idea happens
Escape the 11th Terminus —the concept— is born.
